Nava-Bastra Bitaran (Distribution of New Clothes) will be conducted on the day of Mahalaya this year (02nd October, 2024), which is the auspicious day of advent of Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj, an apostle of Bhagavan Sri Sri Ramakrishna Deva.
Swami Akhandanandaji Maharaj, one of the disciples of Sri Ramakrishna Deva was the symbol of sacrifice, the dedicated soul for service to the poor. He started an Ashrama at Sargachi in the year 1897 in Murshidabad district for service the poor at the time of severe famine when were starving for days and dying in large numbers. He started the initiative for collection of money from the rich and distributed food to the starving people. This struggle was continued till all the affected people were recovered from the distressed situation. Apart from the attempt for saving the lives of the large number of people during the famine, he also too the drive for starting one students' home collecting orphan boys for their development in education, health care and vocational training. He devoted his whole life to uplift the mass.

On the occasion of Sri Sri Durga Puja, we will celebrate the Mahastami Special Puja, Havan and other rituals followed by Devotional Songs, etc. on 11.10.2024. Sri Sri Kali Puja will also be held in idol with Special Puja, Havan and Kali kirtanan on 31.10.2024.
